OUR SOLUTION
We create vibrant communities where Women and men show up for teens to fulfill their natural role as makers of adults.
School BASED GROUP MENTORING
We go to the YOUTH...
Every week YOUTH IMPACT MENTORING mentors show up at middle schools and high schools to support teens. The group based approach gives youth a variety of role models who tell the truth about struggles all adults face. We ask the youth what kind of adult they want to be, praise them for their gifts and support them in finding their own solutions. The teens develop deeper trust and naturally begin to support and mentor each other. In this environment, they learn to express and understand how choices and outcomes can impact their life and other’s lives.
Family Circle
Generational Healing
We bring the single moms of our boys together with their sons for real authentic dialogue. Together they create a healing conversation, based on respect and listening. Moms realize they are not alone, as they build peer support from the other moms.. We creating space where families get support and peer connection as we share real truth with each other.
Adventure WEEKEND “Rite of Passage”
WE TAKE TEENS TO THE MOUNTAIN...
Trained and Background checked adult mentors take the girls and boys a weekend adventure, where they have fun with other peers, yet are challenged to look at: Who they are, What’s working and What might be gettin gin the way. and Sunday, they dig into What do you want and how are you going to achieve it? They are surrounded by trained mentors and trained Youth leaders, who listen, encourage and challenge them to find their best self. This environment helps them learn to trust themselves, their peers and adult staff. SAFETY: Our core value is “Safety”! We follow a “Rule of 3” where kids or adults are not allowed to be alone in a 1 on 1 situation.

Adventure Groups
WE INVITE TEENS TO MEET US OUT IN THE VILLAGE...
These group mentoring events bring mentors and Youth together for hikes, kayaking, bowling and other community building events. Dads/Moms, Sisters/Brothers and other Youth are invited to join in the group. This continues to build the bond where the Kids can be themself, speak their truth and be supported without judgment.
OUR IMPACT
Youth Impact Mentoring positively influences student behavior
The Boys and Girls we work with see have fewer behavior issues, are more resilient and get better grades, yet we are not counselors, Tutors, or therapist. Get involved in order to find out more!
PROGRAM SAFETY
We follow a rule of 3, meaning no youth or mentors are ever alone 1 on 1. Potential mentors are interviewed and carefully screened, and must pass a Yout Impact Mentoring (YIM) background check as well as any additional school district background checks required.
All mentors are required to attend an 8-hour mentor orientation, and receive ongoing feedback and training from YIM staff before and after the weekly sessions.
The group-mentoring model allows Youth Impact Mentoring staff to monitor and evaluate the mentor’s interactions with youth.. All group leaders are trained to spot signs of predatory behavior. We frequently discuss predatory behavior at group sessions and instruct all our teens and mentors to immediately report ANY concerns or inappropriate behaviors to YIM staff. Every meeting has at least one YIM staff member present.

SOLUTION - OUR PROGRAMS
For thousands of years, in villages all around the world, when the time was right, the the Adults came for the adolescent youth. They knew their youth would play a critical role in the survival of their tribe. For that reason, intentionally launching youth on a path toward a solid and positive resilience and self confidence was the adult’s work. Times have changed, but the need has not.
